LITTLETON 2014 ZOMBIE CRAWL – SATURDAY – OCTOBER 03, 2014
Crawl & Eat
Tear up some clothing, pour on some blood and join the professional talent from many of the Denver Area Haunted Houses for the 2014 Littleton Zombie Sidewalk Crawl & Pig Roast.
Zombies big and small are instructed to assemble at the Woodlawn Shopping Center (1500 West Littleton Boulevard #207 Littleton, CO 80120) after 11:00am to touch up your creepiness in preparation for the march through Historic Downtown Littleton starting at Noon.
Participants will end their crawl a few minutes later at the Reinke Bros. Haunted Mansion (5663 S Prince Street Littleton CO 80120) where all those in costume will be treated to a feast of roasted pig to satiate their thurst for flesh and blood.
The parade will be led by a New Orleans Style Funeral Jazz Band and start West down Littleton Blvd to Main and then S Rapp St. At the half-way point the crowd will smell cooking Pig Flesh and turn South to W Alamo Ave. and then proceed East to S Prince St. As the smell of swine grows stronger, the hoard will turn North and with renewed vigor stumble their way into the The Haunted Mansion parking lot. The entire length of the crawl is about 1.2 miles.
Food, Prizes, and photo opportunities will reward all those who kick off the cobwebs and raise from their coffins for the event.
Everyone is welcome, living or dead! There are lots of great photo opportunities along the parade route for those wishing to encourage the undead or provide them with brains. For more information call 303.428.6833.

The story explained that in the current economic situation, haunted houses provide much needed part-time jobs for people having a tough time.
The story includes footage and interviews with people working in her haunted houses.

Top 13 American haunted house and Denver #1 Again!
Well, we just got word. The 13th Door haunted house has been placed once again in the list of the top haunted houses in America.
America’s Top Haunts (the group that lists the best haunted houses in America) just sent us notification that our haunted house will be joining the list for the second time in the last two years. It is quite a thrill to have been nominated and we will certainly be doing everything we can this season to show the world that we deserve the title.
One of the things that gets you selected as a top haunt is charitable work, The 13th Door is proud that thanks to the generousity of our patrons, we are consistantly able to donate more food to local food banks than any of the other haunted houses in Denver. Through our efforts, many young people are able to fulfill their community service requirements and practice skills that serve them well as they proceed to higher educational opportunities.
Thank you America’s Top Haunts and thank you to all the great people at The 13th Door that make building Denver’s best haunted house possible.
Are You Scary Enough To Get Paid?
We are looking for a few good ghouls
We are starting to get in touch with our cast members in preparation for the 2010 halloween season. Building and running haunted houses in Denver takes time. To that end, we would like you to contact us if you have an interest in working with us in the coming months. We are currently performing maintainance and making modifications to the haunted house and are looking for talented people that don’t mind getting dirty building trees, putting up wallpaper, slinging a brush and spraying cobwebs. If it sounds like working in a haunted house for little or no money is your kind of thing, we’d love to hear from you.
Just imagine, you’ve barely shaken off the snow and it’s already time to start making changes at the haunted house. Fankly I’m getting sick of the heat and starting to think I might be some sort of vampire… I try to avoid the sun and prefer working late at night. But it’s not about the sun, at least not sun light, it’s the heat that is the enemy. We don’t have airconditioning at the 13th Door.
I guess I’m crazy thinking anyone is going to feel sorry for me. I do have one of the greatest jobs in the world… scaring people. But that isn’t going to stop me from complaining about our weather and that I prefer my Denver haunted houses cold. At least I get to wear shorts to work and drink gallons soda and water every day.
